We fight, we argue, we disagree, we make up, we laugh, we carry each other and we complement each other. There is jealousy and sexual tension in our friendship. There is maternal care and childish ignorance in our relationship, and there is questions of ownership, freedom and competitiveness when we collaborate. In most, if not all intimate human relationships there is a subtle ongoing struggle to keep a balance. An attempt to keep yourself and your partner aligned. Friendship itself is very much a collaboration and in our relationship we push the boundaries of this to the extreme. Perhaps because we manage to channel the difficulties as well as celebrate the moments of affection, we manage to keep our own personal Seesaw levelled, even if it is under the pressure of constant creaking and slight tilting to one side or the other.
